The Onion is an entertainment website featuring satirical articles reporting on international, national, and local news. Well that’s pretty much what The Tyranny of Tradition is, except with Metal & weirdness. They wrote an article about Ghost’s next singer which is sure to give you a good laugh.
In an attempt to show the modern, more tolerant face of the Catholic Church, the Vatican today announced that Pope Francis would be the new vocalist for the death metal band Ghost B.C. Pope Francis, whose only previous credit on an album come from singing backup vocals on the Annihilator song “Kraf Dinner”, has publically spoken about the “healing and transformative powers of heavy metal music”, but few expected him to actually appear on a metal album.
3 days ago (May 8) we posted a quote from HardDriveRadio.com claiming they had information about Ghost’s upcoming album. Today Ghost posted a Facebook status that says “Children of the world! We are apparently releasing an album soon. Can anyone please give us the title and the release date? Thank you. /A Nameless Ghoul”. Obviously this is regarding rumors that HardDriveRadio.com posted on their website about the album name & release date. (more…)
According to HardDriveRadio.com, Swedish occult rockers GHOST have set “Meliora” (Latin for “better”) as the title of their third album, due on August 21. The follow-up to 2013’s “Infestissumam” was helmed by Klas Åhlund, a prolific songwriter, producer and guitarist who is also a member of the Swedish rock band TEDDYBEARS, and was mixed by Andy Wallace (SLAYER, NIRVANA, SEPULTURA, LINKIN PARK, GUNS N’ ROSES). It appears there’s some difficulty reading the English version on mobile devices so we just decided to copy & paste the entire interview below. Enjoy!
NOTE: This is only the attempt of an unofficial translation of A Nameless Ghoul’s words given to the Sweden Rock Magazine, published in april 2015. The translator did his very best, though claims not in the least any complete accuracy, neither literally nor figuratively. The purpose of this is solely and exclusively to delight the non-Swedish-speaking “Children of the world”

– It’s not more complicated than the fact that there is a Gene Simmons that you can watch in the tv-series “Family jewels” and another Gene Simmons that you can watch on stage, says a guitar playing Nameless Ghoul. Therefore it is the same person in the pictures. One of them is Papa II in an official, public perspective and the other one should be less public, but there are many people that have noticed his “stupidities”. And that’s funny, of course. It’s mostly hard for people to understand things. That’s what we have discovered and that’s actually what we’re playing with. That’s what the experiment results in. (more…)
The Nameless Ghouls Facebook Page got a devoted child to translate this month's issue of Sweden Rock Magazine, featuring "Ghost", to English for non Swedish-speaking children. NOTE: THE TRANSLATOR DID…

The last time posted about Ghost was in December when we said Ghost is writing a new record and it’s going to have more guitars and less vocals. Nearly five months later and we’ve got some legitimate news! A lot of legitimate news, to be honest.
